Love and fear are the two movements of the
human feeling. The first is forward and the other is backward. The feeling is
happy and revived when we find a new love, but when the beloved one turns down
this love there must be pain because of the feeling's withdrawal. If you never
felt pain from losing love this means that you didn't love in the first place.
Every retreat of the feeling after a forward move causes pain (a law). The pain
of the retreat matches the pleasure of the onward move. The aim behind this
pain is motivational, it is to make us keep the next forward moves. This fear
of pain will motivate us to maintain the upcoming forward movements of the
feeling. And that shows us the determination of the feeling to keep going
forward at all costs, even if it was pain.
