Love and fear are the two movements of the human feeling. The first is forward and the other is backward. The feeling is happy and revived when we find a new love, but when the beloved one turns down this love there must be pain because of the feeling's withdrawal. If you never felt pain from losing love this means that you didn't love in the first place. Every retreat of the feeling after a forward move causes pain (a law). The pain of the retreat matches the pleasure of the onward move. The aim behind this pain is motivational, it is to make us keep the next forward moves. This fear of pain will motivate us to maintain the upcoming forward movements of the feeling. And that shows us the determination of the feeling to keep going forward at all costs, even if it was pain.

There is a difference between taking conspiracy into consideration and being controlled by an idea of conspiracy and referring everything to it. The first type is logical while the other is illogical, because it went out of the realm conspiracy to the realm of destiny. As if this person imagines the conspiring group as a divine destiny, nothing opposes it and escapes its eye, and all what goes on in this world happens by its will. This is false in terms of logic as well as sound faith, because God exists and He is the one who can do that.

However, perceiving the world as free of any conspiracy is a shallow and naive perception, because trade, economy, media, politics are filled with conspiracies. Actually, they can only be run this way. Since this applies to specific fields, then it can apply to the whole, therefore there are conspiracies on the global level. But does this mean that all what happens is ordered by those conspiracies? If they are this way what's the need for conspiracies then? They are already controlling everything!

Yes there are conspiracies, and also there are acts against the desire of those conspiracies, this is the state of the world. Logically speaking, we can't refer everything to one thing, this only applies to God.

Reason is gratitude. Gratitude is relating the effect to the cause, and the law of causality is the basis of reason.
You know what's around you from its relationship with yourself. You know yourself from its relationship with God.
Heroism isn't to do the virtue that people see as virtue. It is to do the virtue that people see as vice.
Help yourself by helping others, teach yourself by teaching others, heal yourself by healing others, that's a universal law. Because now you've surrendered to God and freed yourself from selfishness.
Good is more powerful than evil, but evil is more widespread.
Look not for happiness, make happiness look for you. What is yours will look for you.
Everything in the mind has its basis in the feeling. Humanity's mind is the result of the humanity's feeling.

It is false to say that morality is relative. Morality is relative in terms of its methods but not relative in its motives. The motives behind morality are known by everyone through intuition, while the methods are acquired from society and culture. Whoever watches a movie, whether young or old, loves the virtuous hero and resents the evil, selfish and pragmatic character and discovers them easily. The movie maker did not need to explain to the audience where is virtue and where is evil in the movie.

Nothing feels more bitter to man than feeling humiliated. We shouldn't let anyone feel humiliated and heart-broken. Whenever you discover that a certain act will humiliate someone you should be careful from it.

When someone feels humiliated, this means that their self has become insignificant to them and dishonored. Hence, can they then respect and love themselves? Of course not, and that includes what is natural and good in them. Thus, they won't care about themselves in whatever state they get into, even if it's a low state like corruption and addiction to drugs, they can do anything.

The feeling of dignity prevents man from many things. It prevents them from being in a shameful and disgraceful position. What makes us feel shy and ashamed is dignity and self-respect, so when we feel humiliated and degraded over and over again we won't care and feel ashamed anymore. And who doesn't feel ashamed will care no more about themselves and might do anything. That is why the prophet Muhammad said:  "Shyness brings nothing but good". And one poet said: " who feels degraded will easily accept humiliation, for a wound never hurts a dead man"

That is why feeling humiliated is the most dangerous thing a child may go through. When a child feels worthless and of no value at all and everyone else is better than him/her, from here begins his/her devastation and moral deviation and might turn into a tyrant and take his revenge from society. The basis of the acts of thieves and criminals is feeling humiliated and heart-broken. And breaking one's heart means breaking one's dignity, as if we say to him/her that we are human beings and you're not.

The child who feels happy after making something and finds people laughing at what s/he did or get beaten for it, this will make him/her hate what s/he did and hate all that is natural and virtuous, and easily turn to the artificial (evil) and seek strength from it.

Humiliating someone and breaking their heart is like breaking the best thing in them, as if you are saying to him/her that you are not accepted and deserve nothing and you are finished. Thus this person will say about him/her self: since the best I have is rejected I will turn to evil and care about nothing.

Q : Dear AlWarraq, do you really think that morals and disgust are not originally material?

A: Yes, and I am sure. You have no evidence that they have a material origin, have you? Since there is no evidence that points to their material origin, then the doubt in their materiality is more valid than the doubt in their immateriality, because they look nothing like matter. Also, they are in opposition with the laws of matter and physics. So, on what basis can we say that morality and feelings of disgust are material? Rather, on what basis shall we doubt that they are not?

As to the fallacy of the material and utilitarian basis of morality, it is a refuted one, because morals are morals and interests are interests . But to who utilizes morality for a selfish intention (self-interest), then this intention will identify the act. Thus, those seemingly moral acts can't be called morals, they're, rather, interests. If you have evidence proving the material basis of morals and disgust, please present it to us.

Materialists deal with feelings (including morals) as if they were material, in an entirely unscientific way, i.e. they depend on guessing. And that is a type of atheistic metaphysics. They firmly believe in the physicality of ideas and feelings without presenting any evidence, while they demand evidence from others on everything!

Since feelings and thoughts are immaterial, therefore there is a moral (immaterial) world that exists within us, a spiritual world which motivate us .

The materialists denial of the soul is unscientific. Because they did not prove the physicality of what is attributed to the soul. We are in the age of knowledge, but they don't have any knowledge in this field. They want us to believe in what they say because we should trust them, trusting the scientific coats they wear and the flasks and tubes in front of them, i.e. the predesigned stage.

People's minds have never steeped this low before, because science now has become a puppet and a market for ideologies more than what happened with religion and history. Before, they used to control people in the name of religion. Now, the church of science has took the place of the church of religion. However, people who rely on their own thinking and don't hand their trust to anyone except their own minds, will not fall for this game, as they hadn't fell for the previous one.

If you attach your happiness with material things like a house, food, travel or wealth…etc, or with something semi-material like the number of friends, then be sure that boredom will chase you. However, people who are more attentive to the spiritual and psychological life don’t feel bored even if their material situation is less than others. We see the mystic or worshipper stays many years in the temple and doesn’t feel bored.

They who live life focusing on moral aspects like thinking, analyzing, innovating, feelings and emotions are less bored than who live on the visual and material aspects only, because matter offers nothing by itself. If you cleaned a room and arranged it well what will take place in it that worth all the effort? The human is the most important and his/her spirit is more important than his/her body.

For example, the Western material civilization is plagued by boredom, addictions and even suicide, which you won’t find in underdeveloped countries in the same high rate. The reason is that they are soaked with material things. They have money, servants, and freedoms which they thought that its absence was the cause of their unhappiness. So, all relations and connections have been broken in the name of freedom, and a person can do whatever s/he wants and sleeps with whoever s/he wants and expresses whatever s/he wants, and yet boredom keeps following them.

Generally speaking, boredom is bliss, because it urges man to seek and do the best. The normal materialist social situation once looked attractive because of its ambiguity, but after they reached it and unraveled its mystery they found nothing real and true in it. However, who deals with the constant, i.e. God, will never reach a dead end, because man can’t encircle God, thus will never be bored because s/he lives the permanent sweetness and pleasure of faith.

The first step to cure boredom is to stop seeking material objects and turn to mental and emotional realms, thus breaking the boundaries between man and himself, by attempting to speak, think and concern himself with these new interests until the old interests grow weaker. Gradually, one will arrive to a degree in which she can be in one place for a long time and yet doesn’t feel bored. It’s true that the place is one, but the ideas are constantly renewed.

We see that people who are uninterested in the moral and spiritual aspects in an ongoing search for new things, changing clothes, fashions and places, because they are concerned mainly with matter.

On the contrary, if there were a group of philosophers, you’ll find them going around the whole world without changing their place. Meanwhile, you see people going to tourists attractions but see nothing important unless it’s especially noticeable, and you’ll find them getting bored of it and won't not come again. But who can taste mental and intellectual pleasures might stop at one landmark reflecting upon it and studying it for years, as one philosopher said that he's willing to spend the rest of his life in the back of his garden. Because he thinks and meditates and observes the roses and insects, while one glance from a shallow person to this garden will make him feel bored and won’t look at it again.

Change is a spiritual motive, but the mind translates this emotional need falsely, connecting the feeling of boredom with a material object and then goes looking for that thing and tires himself for it, and might not be able to reach it. "Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life while they thought that they were doing things correctly!" (the Quran).
Man’s soul is looking for tranquility, and that’s what the believer in God feels even if they don’t do many things. The believer can control their acts unlike the materialist person who feels pushed to do things and work. The believer doesn’t do a thing unless they feel it’s suitable, because they are basically passive, due to their tranquility and satisfaction with what God has destined, and they only do what they can. The tranquil self is the opposite of the anxious self which is always looking for something, whenever it goes somewhere it feels bored and wants to go somewhere else. While the self that has reached faith has found calmness and homeostasis.

Physical pains can be forgotten, unlike psychological pains. Even moments of joy are forgotten because joy is man’s default state. When people talk about calamities they address them in a material perspective as in lack of food or electricity, but if you look carefully into the real cause that tires them you’ll find it to be a psychological one. If they were filled with love and confidence many things will feel a lot easier and they’ll be more capable of being patient.

People insist that matter is everything, so when they meet you they ask about the house, job, money as if your happiness only lies in material things. That is a false test of happiness. Because there can be people living in the midst of comfort and wealth but they feel miserable because of boredom, losing someone they love, or feeling psychologically restrained. We see people who belong to the wealthiest class in the world but matter added nothing to them, and people who are materially less fortunate and yet they live more happily.

Every person is actually two persons, the first aspires to reach the second, and the more you get close to the second the more happy you are, the more you move away from it the more lost you become, because it owns the first. The first is terrestrial and the other is celestial.
